What causes Plantar Fasciitis?
If you’re suffering from heel pain on and off, especially one that gets worse while running or walking, odds are you have Plantar fasciitis. This results in significant inflammation of the thick band of connective tissue that runs from the bottom of your foot and connects your heel bone to your toes known as the plantar fasciitis. The pain can most readily be described as a stabbing pain that you’ll experience during the day’s first steps. The pain may subside subsequently but return after a prolonged period of standing.
While runners usually experience this ailment, it is also common in individuals with poor posture, muscle imbalance, dysfunctional movement patterns, weakness and instability in the core, and improper footwear.
